JACK SLOMOVITS
(b. USA, 1969) Born in Miami and raised in Los Angeles, Jack Slomovits picked up his first camera at the age of six, an Eastman Kodak "Brownie." Throughout high school and college, he won fine art, photography and filmmaking awards and a scholarship to study at Parsons (Los Angeles). By 1991 he was developing his unique photographic eye and moved to New York City to study photography at Fordham University, Lincoln Center in an independent study program. He learned the "trade" while working at a major New York film lab where he was exposed to the work of other artists in the medium.

Jack Slomovits is a Commercial Photographer and Visual Artist. His work is exhibited in art galleries across the country and his commercial images are in print ads and trade-publications internationally. In 1998, Slomovits expanded his photographic endeavors into documenting weddings in his own signature style; Candid, Raw and Moving. Jack Slomovits' brings an element of spontaneity and surprise to his photographs. Specializing in photojournalism with an editorial flavor, this photographer is for those who appreciate something different and unique, "I'm telling a story here." No dull line-up poses, "You're not in Kansas anymore..."

In the beginning of 1999, he and his life partner opened a design and internet company called BLOWSQUISH. By combining unique vision with up-to-date marketing strategies, they create successful advertising platforms in print (as seen in Modern Bride, Locations, Time Out New York and HX Magazine) and on the internet for their clients. Since its inception, Blowsquish has developed and created over 50 websites and is regularly maintaining and updating content for their 20+ clients. BLOWSQUISH is the winner of the Cybersocket Web Awards for Website Developer 2002.

In 2000, Jack Slomovits photographed the very first Gay and Lesbian Lifestyles stock image collection for Digital Vision UK, comprised of only gay and lesbian models. While one company produced a series the year before, the production incorporated straight models playing gay roles - that collection was shot down by the advertising community for looking fake. "Gay Lifestyles," as the CD collection is titled is comprised of 106 color and black and white images depicting gay and lesbian singles and couples in ordinary daily activities from social settings to private and intimate situations.

SEAN MERIWETHER
(b. American, 1969) Sean Meriwether came to the Internet to explore its tremendous potential for exchanging ideas and information, and developed his website as a platform to promote his fiction and work. Beginning with a free webspace at Geocities.com, he learned to hardcode HTML because it was more versatile than their WYSIWYG editor. His search for versatility encouraged him to develop beyond the limitations of straight HTML into PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and other dynamic functions. He also expanded his knowledge into programming UNIX to customize their Internet server, always striving for the fastest way to achieve the best result.

He took that knowledge and constructed websites as canvases to experiment upon and hone his skills. Among them is Outsider Ink, an alternative ezine established in 1999 to promote fiction, poetry and artwork that defies categorization. He has developed a global readership of over 10,000 per quarterly issue. The ezine has been praised for its bold content and sleek design and was named one of the Top 100 Art Sites. Building upon the success of Outsider Ink, he created Velvet Mafia exclusively for marketing gay fiction. His experience as an editor for the two ezines has helped him ferret out the strengths and weaknesses in other writer's fiction, lessons he was able to apply to his own work.

In his spare time, Sean Meriwether has written and published a number of short stories. His fiction has recently been anthologized in Best Gay Erotica 2002, Best Gay Erotica 2001 and Of The Flesh, and has been printed in Excess Compassion and Suspect Thoughts. He is currently working on several projects including a screenplay and a collection of short stories.

Sean graduated from New York University with a BA in English and Creative Writing, and continues to further his education by entering intense periods of study and experimentation.
